The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is designed to change the relationship we have with suffering: pain, stress, as well our challenging thoughts and emotions. Think of it as an exercise program for your brain!

The skills you will learn in MBSR are effective in reducing depression, anxiety, stress, distress, improving sleep, increasing pain management and improving the overall quality of life. Research has found that if we take care of our brain by meditating 30 minutes a day, for 8 weeks, we can grow our left prefrontal cortex. This is the part of the brain that helps us to regulate moods and use skills, that we learn and practice, to positively move through challenging life moments. MBSR is a great option for anyone interested in improving the way they handle stress, cope with physical illness and the strains of life.

    • Program Cost: $550/Person (Max 10 people) $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. *please note, this will be refunded if, for some unforeseen reason, the program does not run.
      • $450/Person for couples or friends (register together)
      • $400 for Post-Secondary Students. 
      • Sliding Scale Available (please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information)
    • Some Extended Health Insurance plans cover some or all of the cost of MBSR as it is seen as therapeutic. Check with your insurance provider.
