I am a Toronto area Registered Psychotherapist (RP) that has been working in the mental health field since 1995, in various capacities. Throughout my career it has become very apparent that there is a lack of access to mental health literacy and support in our communities.
So, I designed the The Changing Minds Project as a way to teach, share and provide services that help people live their best life. This project encourages people to participate in life activities that, neuroscience shows, positively changes their brain. We need to take care of our brains like we take care of our bodies. People can work through difficult or distressing times in their lives using interventions supported by neuroscience. We don’t need to suffer, but we do need to do the work because positive mental health is an ongoing process, not a designation.
